Google To Donate £550,000 To Bletchley Park
Very positive news today from Bletchley Park. Google are very generously donating £550,000 to help towards meeting the match funding needed to secure a Heritage Lottery Fund grant that will be used for the first phase of redeveloping the site. There's still much work to be done, but this donation is going to make a huge difference, and I know the Bletchley Park Trust are absolutely over the moon about it, as are supporters like me.
It would be remiss of me not to mention that this beautiful partnership all started thanks to one very dedicated Googler and Bletchley Park supporter, Simon Meacham. Much kudos to for Google UK's head of external relations, Peter Barron, who's championed Bletchley Park for many months now.
Those Googlers are nice people, and no mistake.
If you'd like to help us renovate Hut 6 at Bletchley Park, please consider donating a few quid
