Programming & Sausages 2014
This is what happens when I drink at lunchtime. The upshot is that, under the working title Programming & Sausages 2014 (because that's what we had for lunch), I'm going to be launching a new conference this year to replace Software Craftsmanship.
It might be one of those trendy new unconferences that you heard about while you were waiting for your cinnamon latte.
What will be unique about PAS2014 (see what I did there?) is that every session will be run by someone who has never run a session or presented at a conference or workshop before.
Likely as not, I'll also be encouraging students (undergrads, probably) to come along. And there'll be a link to apprenticeships or some such, because it's high time we bridged that gap between academia and practice.
So, there'll be programming. There'll be new faces, and hopefully they'll bring fresh ideas and a new perspective.
And in the evening, there will be sausages.
I'm thinking September.
More soon.
