Agilian 1.0 for Agile ModelersI haven't had a chance to check it out, but Visual Paradigm's new Agilian tool for what they're calling "Agile Modeling" looks intriguing. As well as supporting non-UML notations for a variety of useful things, you can also input your own visual elements using the tools shape editor, so you can extend predefined diagram types with whatever you think you need to express.
On top of this, the tool supports a gestures type of interface, like our old favourite, Tablet UML, so you can input your diagrams using a pen instead of the mouse. With interactive whiteboard tecnology coming down in price, this may prove to be a more usable option these days than it was 5 years ago. People who are exploring the possibilities of remote design collaboration might like to give it whirl.
