"Cutting Edge" Is So Last YearAm I to take it that "cutting edge technology" now refers to anything that comes on a DVD? Certainly that's what hordes of technology marketeers and IT recruitment consultants might have me believe. Apparantly, .NET 3.0 is "cutting edge" (I mean, you can write computer programs with it and everything), Scrum is "cutting edge" (I mean, you can do it wearing casual clothes, if you really want to), and so - it would seem - is UML.
According to these folks, I'm right at the "cutting edge". In fact, I'm so "cutting edge" that I'm actually living 20 minutes in the future.
"What's it like in the future, Jason?", I hear you ask. Well, you're not going to believe this, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is governer of California, we have mobile telephones as small as a packet of cigarettes, and a pint of beer will set you back a staggering three quid in London. Imagine that!
