My Tip for a Perfect Holiday - Frosted Beer GlassesSo here I am in the - er - interesting village of Lajares in Fuerteventura (I keep wanting to say "Pet Detective" after I use that name). The words "building site" spring somewhat to mind. But that doesn't give the place due credit. I imagine this is what Mars might look like after we've colonised it. Only with maybe less stray dogs wandering the streets.
Anyway, the villa I'm staying in is fantastic. Especially the pool. Oh, and the fridge has one of those rapid freezing compartment thingummyjigs.
Which is the main thrust of today's rushed blog post (gotta keep that content coming, boss!)
My tip for a relaxing poolside holiday is frosted glasses. The recipe is simple: just run your glasses under the cold tap, then stick 'em in your super-duper rapid freeze-o-matic thingy and leave them for about 30 minutes (or more - the freezier, the better.)
Then you just pour your already nicely chilled Bavarian lager (because this doesn't really work with real ale) into aforementioned frosty vessels, and - hey presto! Your holiday has truly begun.
Next week, I'll be showing you how to make the perfect Gin & Tonic (which may take many more attempts to perfect, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice for you, dear readers).
