Scrum vs. Gorman - It's War! (According To Some)

HL Arledge, the Certified Scrum Master who accused me of believing that Scrum is just "Snake Oil" (which I didn't, honest - you're thinking of Six Sigma) then goes on to refer to Mike Vizdos' web site as "Mike's Implementing Scum site" in his latest textual debacle, which is surely more insulting than calling it Snake Oil!

HL claims that Mike is offended by my comparing the way Scrum spreads to a virus, and then goes on to quote poor Mike out of context to prove his point.

He doesn't include the paragraph where Mike says, in the same post:

Two words to his reader:

"Lighten Up."

This blog is meant to poke fun at what a lot of us actually do for a living. It is pretty edgy sometimes - on purpose - and tries to get its readers into a mindset where maybe - and this is a big maybe - they will question the way they are working today and see if it makes sense to try something new.

So.

I will close this blog entry with an invitation to Jason to re-post his original entry over the weekend over on our site here. I will post it un-edited and may comment on it after that is posted here. I'll take any "heat" from the community, and want to really find out if this really is a problem within the Agile Community.

And if it is... why is that?

I think we all need to sit back, take a deep breath and calm down. It's all just a storm in a tea cup. I mean, all I said was "that piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah"...

Blimey!
